On the morning of August 22, Assistant Minister Li Chenggang and the Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa jointly presided over the 19th meeting of the China-Uruguay Mixed Committee on Economy and Trade and exchanged views on bilateral economic and trade relations, trade and investment cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative and the first China International Import Expo. After the meeting, the two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Service Trade Cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
